We love having dinner at the bar. Best Fish and Chips around. We had the fish of the day and the Lobster Cobb salad.

I decided to try the Faroe Island Salmon filet atop a nice mound of mashed potatoes and green beans. It was a perfect medium/medium rare. The mashed potatoes were delicious! Their salmon is as good as Sweetwaters which is saying a lot! Actually the portion I think is larger at Fords.

The oyster roll at Ford's Fish Shack is a standout! STUFFED with crispy oysters, fresh lettuce, and a tangy remoulade sauce, this roll is a delight and a must-try! The buttered buns add an extra layer of richness, making each bite a perfect blend of flavors and textures. The fish & chips featured cod served with thin fries and coleslaw. While the cod itself was a bit bland, pairing it with the tartar sauce brought out a much-needed flavor boost. The rocket shrimp, a mix of crispy shrimp, sweet chili sauce, green beans, and Asian slaw, was a bit underwhelming. The dish leaned on the salty side and didn't deliver the punch of flavor we hoped for. Taking advantage of the $1 oyster deal on Mondays was a great choice. We tried five oysters, all of which were incredibly fresh and delicious! Would definitely come back for the oysters!

If you're looking for a seafood place, this it! Fords has been one of our "go to" seafood restaurant for over 10 years. I wasn't able to get food photos this time, but got photos of the seating & outside area. Their Fish & Chips are the best! Fords is hands down the greatest of all the places I've been to for Fish & Chips. They are tender and fried to perfection. I take a bite and say "oh my gosh, delicious." Almost like a melt in your mouth euphoria. We love their cornbread little muffins, they come with a whipped butter and together they are perfect to have prior to the entree arriving. Request to Fords, please try to perfect the green beans that come with the Salmon dish, the green beans "were edible", but could have been cooked a little longer. I've tried the New England Cod only at the South Riding location (which is now closed until they reopen at a new location), the Cod is fabulous, but struggle with their green beans, they are typically undercooked with this dish. We ordered the Rocket Shrimp which was good and the green beans were cooked well with this dish. Overall, 100% love this place. Thanks to Fords and look forward to their Chantilly location!

If you're ever craving a good hearty meal... then Ford's Fish Shack is the place. This is THE place to get a good seafood meal or if you don't want seafood; there's non seafood options as well. This place is gets quite busy so recommend getting reservations. If not, they do offer bar seating and high table seating as well. The last time we went; it was quite busy for a Saturday evening but lucky for us there were high top tables available with full service. Service: our Waiter was friendly and warm and made small talk with us. She was super attentive and came by frequently to check on us. We asked if one of the tv channel could be charged for the game and she personally made that happen. Yay for excellent service! Food: I LOVE LOVE LOVE their angry mussels and will order it each and every time. The mussels are big and plumped and bathed in the most incredible sauce with chorizo, garlic and tomatoes. It comes with pieces of bread to dip to your heart's content. We also ordered the special which is the 11oz rib eye. It was cooked to perfection and tasted great. The top things off, we ordered half dozen of the Blue Point oysters. Smaller than other variations but the right amount of sweetness and brine.

No complaints! We didn't have to make a reservation for a random Friday night. It was busy so they ended up seating us at a high top at the bar. The seats were comfy and we got full service. The service was good, but it was a bit slow because it was packed. I ordered the crab cake entree, scallops, and my bf ordered their special which was a 11 oz steak I believe. I forget the steak cut, but he loves it! I had a bite and I was very impressed on how delicious the steak was for a seafood spot. They have a great beer and wine list as well. The crab cakes were delicious and didn't have any shells. The blackened scallops were also delicious! Nothing tastes too fishy or bottom of the ocean like. The flavors were on point for everything! I would deff go back again! I enjoyed my dood and experience. It's not a super fancy place

We were seated right away and the service was great. The food is delicious and the service was outstanding. The Smoked Salmon Bruschetta is awesome, oh my goodness. It is the place to go for delicious food, very nice service and a good atmosphere. The blueberry lemonade with mint is a very refreshing drink. The steamed shrimp were very good as well. My friend had the Faroe Island Salmon and he absolutely loved it. The portions were excellent. The ambience of an old dock fish house was great. It made it seem very authentic and truly a place where you wanted seafood. I ordered the pick 4 seafood basket and the star for me was the fried clams and the fries, wow, excellent. Overall this was a wonderful experience and we really enjoyed our food, it is good enough that I will bring my wife back! But beware, it is a little pricey...
